What’s an Olio?

We are home to the joy of creation and a celebration of the work we make.

Previously called the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center, our new name Olio celebrates our commitment to the arts in Wisconsin Rapids. On its face, Olio simply sounds like the simple joy of creation. Uncomplicated. Easy to say. It feels as accessible as we want art to be for you. But the word also has a literal meaning: a disparate collection of artistic and literary pieces. And isn’t that what we make together? The delightful overlapping artistic outputs of the arts in practice.
