Oh, what fun you’ll have at the four-day art adventure for kids aged 5-8 years old with Denise Larson.

Kickstart a creative summer by jumping into a series of early afternoon art classes. Here’s what we’ve cooked up for creative, curious kids!

Camp Curriculum

DAY 1

Custom Kitchen or Art Apron

Back by popular demand! Campers will design their own apron using fun fruit and vegetable prints and their name for a personal touch. If they attended a previous session, they’ll get to create a different style—switching from a kitchen apron to an art apron (or vice versa). Aprons will stay at Olio throughout the week for daily use during projects!

Supplies: All materials needed are provided in the class.

DAY 2

Cardboard Letter Creations

A letter like no other! Each camper will receive a large cardboard letter representing the first letter of their name. Using a variety of “junk” materials, beads, and art supplies, they’ll transform it into a bold, textured masterpiece. This project encourages creativity, imagination, and a love for mixed media design!

Supplies: All materials needed are provided in the class.

DAY 3

Beads & Buttons Jewelry

Colorful, creative, and completely one-of-a-kind! Campers will explore the basics of jewelry-making as they design and create their own necklaces using a playful mix of bright beads and whimsical buttons. They can also choose to make fun keychains for backpacks or gifts! Students will learn simple techniques like planning patterns, stringing, and finishing their pieces—resulting in a handmade treasure to keep or give as a heartfelt gift.

Supplies: All materials needed are provided in the class.

DAY 4

Fun & Funky Cardboard Masks

Let your imagination run wild! Campers will start with a base mask shape and then cut out additional pieces to build their design. Using paint, texture tools, and funky brushes, they’ll bring their masks to life with bold colors and creative details. Each mask will be a unique expression of personality—perfect for play or display!

End-of-Camp Celebration

Day 4 will conclude with a Camp-end Celebration. This short Celebration will begin at 3 pm.

If your child has any allergies or medical concerns, please email Olio at hello@oliocenter.com or call us at 715-421-4598 (if after hours please leave a message) and give your name, your child's name, the session your child will be attending and what our staff should know about while your child is at the Center.
