Add a little whimsy to your home with two adorable, handmade ceramic gnomes!
In this fun, beginner-friendly workshop, artist Jackie Thomas will guide you through creating two charming ceramic gnomes full of personality and character!
Part 1 – Create Your Gnomes: On Monday, November 16, you'll learn handbuilding techniques as you shape and assemble two ceramic gnomes, complete with tall, pointy hats, round little noses, and playful details. Add your own creative touches to make each gnome uniquely yours! Once completed, your creations will be left at Olio to dry and be bisque-fired in our kiln.
Part 2 – Glaze Your Gnomes: After receiving a notification from Olio that your gnomes are ready to glaze, you'll need to reserve a table spot in Creative Clay Studio to complete your creations. Studio hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 2:30 – 7:30 pm, and Saturdays, 10 am – 2 pm. During your reserved studio time, you'll glaze your gnomes in colors of your choice, bringing your little characters to life! Olio will then fire them one final time, and your finished gnomes will be ready for pickup at a later date.
No experience is necessary, and all materials, tools, glazes, and firings are included. You'll take home two one-of-a-kind ceramic gnomes perfect for decorating your home or giving as thoughtful handmade gifts!
