The Art of Healing exhibit is a collection of works created in the 1990s by survivors of childhood sexual abuse. The exhibit illuminates the power that art holds in the journey, expression, and healing of trauma. The display also serves as a poignant reflection on the effects of sexual violence and invites viewers to consider how our community can better empower survivors and prevent abuse.
This display is presented by the Wisconsin Rapids Family Center for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the exhibit will travel to Ladysmith, WI where it will be hosted by another domestic and sexual violence victim advocacy organization, Embrace. In addition to works from the original 1990’s traveling exhibit, this display also includes art created by survivors in support groups at the Wisconsin Rapids Family Center.
> WRFC advocate will be on-site while exhibit is open to the public
THIS EXHIBIT WILL BE LOCATED IN THE CWCC CONFERENCE ROOM AND IS INTENDED FOR INDIVIDUALS 18 YEARS OR OLDER. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
